Disney World Fashionista in July

Here we are with another addition to Zealous Blonde's How to Be Fashionable at Disney World...in July!

The weather was very hot and the humidity was high. The most stylish way to keep cool is dresses and skirts. Never forsake fashion for comfort... you can have both.

A Little Leather

Lately I have been loving a leather look. Either faux, coated, or real, it's giving me the edginess I'm looking for these days!

Spring Pink Blazer

I have packed up all my winter wear and brought out the spring and summer clothes. But since it's still a little cold out, I have pants and blazers to enjoy in spring tones.

More Monochromatic

This week I dressed every day in one color. This was a fun challenge and I was also trying to wear button-up shirts when possible. Enjoy!

Bend It Like Beckham

Victoria Beckham's Spring/Summer 2020 collection is totally inspiring me lately. I am loving her slimmer suiting silhouette and her color combinations.

So while it's not an exact copy, with my pink and brown combo, I feel I am channeling that groove.

And just wait until I get out my 70s wide-collar button up blouse.

The Flawless 18-Year-Old Sweater

I have had this Banana Republic sweater for 18 years. And it is still flawless. No pilling. No stains. No loose threads.

On a whim, this past week, I checked the tag. It confirmed it was made for the Spring 2002 season. (I love that BR posts the date on their tags!) And it is made of 74% wool and 26% cotton. I used to think that cashmere and merino sweaters were the holy grail of longevity, but not any more.

Not only does this sweater stand the test of time, but it also stands the test of fashion.

Flattering v-neck. Timeless dark camel/caramel color. Understated ribbed texture. 3/4-length sleeves. Crop length.

I don't know what else makes this sweater so perfect, but if the people behind Everlane, J. Crew, and current BR could replicate it, they'd have a knit hit on their hands.
